Refund and cancellation policy
This policy applies to paid consulting engagements with Informationsystems for employment consulting and onboarding guidance in Germany.
Eligibility overview
Refunds depend on whether work has started, whether a deposit reserved dates, and how much notice you give before a session. This site does not sell physical products or software subscriptions; rules below cover consulting sessions and document packages only.
Cooling-off for distance contracts
If you book as a consumer at a distance, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of concluding the contract, unless you expressly request that we begin work during that period and acknowledge that you may lose the right once performance has begun. Details are confirmed in your engagement note.
Deposits
A deposit may be required to reserve consultation dates. Deposits are applied to the final fee. If you cancel more than 7 days before the first reserved session, the deposit is refundable in full. Cancellations within 7 days of the first session forfeit the deposit unless we can fill the slot or the cancellation is due to documented illness or force majeure, in which case we offer a credit or partial refund at our discretion.
Full refunds
A full refund of fees paid is available if we cancel an engagement and cannot offer a suitable alternative date, or if we have not started any paid work and you withdraw within the applicable cooling-off period without requesting early performance.
Partial refunds
If an engagement has partly begun (for example, intake completed and one of three sessions delivered), we refund the unused portion of prepaid fees minus work already performed, calculated from the session and deliverable rates in your engagement note.
Non-refundable items
Completed sessions, delivered written feedback already sent to you, and custom document packages marked complete are non-refundable. Administrative bank fees charged by your payment provider are not reimbursed by us.
Rescheduling and no-shows
You may reschedule a session once at no charge with at least 48 hours’ notice. Later reschedules or no-shows without notice count as a delivered session. We will attempt one courtesy reschedule for documented emergencies.
Work already started
Once we have opened your file, held intake, or begun editing documents you supplied, fees for that stage are due. Cancelling mid-engagement stops further sessions; completed stages remain payable.
Refund process and timing
Email info@informationsystems.digital with your name, engagement date, and reason. We confirm eligibility within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.
